ok this is a bit strange?

my car is pulling to the right when i drive in straight line also (some times) the steering wheel turns to the right when i step on the brake; so i checked the tiers i cheked the wheels, i took to the dealer for allignment and arms balancing but the told me at the workshop there is no allignment for this kind of suspinsion or what you call it; they told me only 2 in and 2 out balancing is requried for it as per the reparing manual.

so i was telling what happend to one of my friends and he told that he is experincing the same problem?

so just wondering if you guys having the same problem? and i don't believe the dealer about the balancing thing (how come the car doesn't need balancing)

 

check the tsb's there is one for it. take it to the dealer and they will fix

 

yes, my car actually does pull to the right.

 

What year is your Z? Mine's 05 and it pulls to the right.
I've actually had an allignment done once, but it STILL pulls to the right a few days after.

 

yea it actually didnt pull to the right out of the factory. i removed my front strut bar because i installed my 1/2 plenum spacer and since then it has pulled to the right. after getting my rims they pulled even more. ive had 2 alignments done already

I'm pretty sure there's a tsb out to replace a compression rod on the front suspension that is suppose to fix the problem.

 

+1 on the pull to the right, and my car only has 800 miles

 

+1 on pulling to the right, especially while braking. this didnt happen out of the lot. i dont notice it anymore though. maybe i just got used to correcting it myself.

 

i still didnt drive my car .. il tell ya guyz it's 0 mileage

 

All vehicles pull one way or another, the question is “how much.” There's a service bulletin for the 350Z about steering. The test is, at 60 mph, does the car cross the centerline in less than 6 seconds (or something like that).

2005ZR here, same issue, 800 miles, already had one alignment down ... noticeable drift to the right, more pronounced when braking. I was told by the dealer that TSB 03046 doesn't apply to my car.

 

2005ZR, 5000 miles.. slight pull to the right, not so much so it dont bother me... was told by dealer that it will do that

 

yeahh guys don't over react w/ this thing...You do realize that there is a crown in EVERY road so it is natural for EVERY car to pull to the right...Now if it pulls to the right and you're about to hit the curb in like a second then there's a problem...but every single car pulls to the right because of the crown in all roads...

nope no tsb the compression rod thing is for major squeeks in the front suspension when hitting large bumps and is really only applicable on g's

 

Check your air pressure. If the passenger side is even a little lower than the drives side it will want to pull to the right. Couple pressure difference with road crown and it will really want to pull then.

I run a little more air in the passenger side cause our road crown is so bad around here. Car tracks pretty well straight on most crowned roads here. A one pound or so difference is usually all it takes.

 

No, not a good point. I've driven plenty of cars that don't pull to the right because of the crown of the road. I drive my truck every day on those same roads and it doesn't pull. Maybe if the roads were banked like a Nascar track it would be a logical explanation.

I'm not saying this Nissan is all f'd up or anything like that. But the amount of crown on normal roads doesn't cause this much pull.

 

You do realize that you're driving a sports car correct??? The suspension is much different on a Z than it's going to be on ur trucks hence why there is little to no pull on ur truck...but i guarantee u if u let ur wheel go long enough on ur truck your truck WILL start to pull to the right...The reason the Z pulls HARDER is because it has a sports suspension and is also the reason why u feel more bumps in the road in ur Z than u would in let's say, your truck ....It was a good point
