Don't you think that Nissan would have insisted that Car and Driver mention that this was a pre production car, if they knew they were going to make improvements before production? I really can't believe that the suspension is going to be changed if they knew this when they gave them the car. Having them state that it has such strong understeer I would think they would INSIST that C & D must state that some final tweaking was still planned. I hope I am wrong, but if there really were going to be some substantial changes to be made, how could Nissan not Require them to state this??

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. All other reviews up to this point have said something like "While this was a prototype, blah blah..."
I'd like to believe JmanZ's sources, but 300 HP didn't pan out, so I'm dubious. And I think the most likely explanation for the weight is they weighed the car full.
