The car is fun, and I haven't had any problems. I wish I had bought a C6 Vette though. Maybe next time... I've had a couple weekend toys over the past 6 years and I would say my favorite was a 2000 Z28 6-speed. I had an '03 WRX after that with many mods and never really felt attached to that car. I sold it for the Z and didn't even care. When I traded my Z28 for the WRX I almost backed out like 20 times. I should have never sold that car, it had 7500 miles on it after 2.5 years and would be paid off now. :O If they reintroduce the Camaro as I've heard rumors of, the Z is getting sold and I'm buying another one. Otherwise I'll probably buy the Shelby Mustang or a Vette next time... For now the Z is fun, I just don't seem to have a passion for this car either.
It has only been a month, but I have no regrets on trading in my truck for a Z. The Z is my daily driver, so I MAY miss the truck come winter time (if I really need to haul something, I can use the wifey's SUV or our old pickup). I wanted a Z for a LONG TIME now, so I was a bit worried going into the purchase that it would not live up to my expectations. It has! It's solid, sexy, and fast!
I'm used to having cars that catch people's eye. My truck got a lot of looks. It was a '03 X5 w/ 20" chrome Foose Speedsters (I guess I need to clean those wheels up and sell them). But, I still get just as many, and maybe even more looks w/ the Z. Plus, I get a lot of folks who want to get my attention at the light in order to race. I'm still getting used to that.

I was on the fence about the Z till I drove one! It's a great all around car for the money and makes the commute much more enjoyable... saved 40 minutes my first day ,lol!
The Z turns heads, very solid, tons of power out of the box, Nissan makes a great car and it shows in the resale values.

The only time when I regret the purchase is when I need more room then the Z has.
Which isn't too often, and I knew I wasn't buying the most practical car in the world, but sometimes it's annoying. Maybe I should get a 2nd car... hrmmm...

Loved it from the very first time I set my eyes on my baby. I told the dealership how I wanted the car.. sliverstone touring with burnt orange seats and nav with nismo LMGT4's and potenza s-03's. They found the car for me 3 weeks later ( SS with burnt orange is SUPER rare here) and put the rims and tires for me at no charge. Then my car got modded more( see my sig) and I enjoy opening her up. The only thing I regret is for getting the Nismo exhaust with the dc headers. Before everyone just stared at my car. Now everyone sees and hears me coming and I love the attention.
I wish I had gotten the FX35. The Z is just too small. I know I know. I should have known what I was getting into buying a 2 seater, but I do alot of college football tailgating and am missing out big time this year. The car is NOT good on long road trips (w/ nismo exhaust and eibach suspension/19's), and when I get to my destination I have a tough time finding a parking space "suitable" for it. I really do like the car a ton, but as a daily driver that is my only car, I am getting tired of it. Looks great and fun to drive though!
Why don't you trade in or sell the Z and buy a 300ZX again? You say you don't drive it anymore, so it's just sitting there depreciating when you can sell it now and get the most money for it and by another 300ZX. I don't see where the problem is.
Good luck!

I hate my z too. It gets me into too much trouble. My gf gets mad when other girls stare and ask me about my car. She also thinks that i pay too much attention towards it. We've actually broken up once because of the z. Maybe i have to focus on what's really important,.....and dump her.
