Don't get forget to have the top down, too.

 

It has a couple of mods, including an ECU swap/reflash, 400+ whp on a 4-wheel dyno, low 12 second machine (I had posted that experience here recently). When I let off at 165 it was still pulling hard. It didn't 'feel' like I was in danger, but I just 'knew' at those speeds I wasn't capable of doing much if something happened, like Bambi walking toward the road.

 

I hit 145mph on the fwy in the carpool lane. I was with my friend an we had alot of stuff in the trunk. I downshifted to 3rd @ 70 and the car pulled really hard from there. We took it to 145 then I backed off. I was still at 5800rpm so it could of gone faster. i was surprised how fast it went since mine is 5AT plus a passanger an with stuff in the back. That was the only time I did that. This was on the 60fwy going east. in the carpool lane. For those of u that dont know its a 4 lane fwy plus carpool so 5 lane total & there is a really long 4-5 mile straight on it.

 

at roughly 2.42 miles per minute (145 MPH), that 4 - 5 mile long straight doesn't last very.....long.

 

^ +1... I only stayed at 145 for aroun 10-15sec. then I backed off. I didn't wanna get pulled over ( imagine that) and there were alot of cars that day... it was a Monday morning. They were all just a blur as a flew by them... lol.
