Default yyes, go Nissan!

Nissan called me up today, telling me the new and improve BF Goodrich tires has arrived. I was so eager, i was in nissan repair in a heart beat lol. I guess the whole 6 month back order wasnt true as i thought. Well, calling nissan everyday may have had a big factor -=P. After 5 hours of waiting, i finally test drove my car and wow! All that annoying tire feathering sound was gone. I forgot how good the car sounds without that loud tire noise. I just hope they dont start feathering again in the next couple thousand miles. -=X

I have never owned a set of Bridgstones that I liked. They all wear out prematurely and do not grip as well as I would like. I have Turanzas on my Sienna that are horrible. The Potenzas that came on my Z are not that great either and I expect to have to replace them long before 30,000 miles. mt tundra had a set of Bridgestones that at 14000 miles were probably half shot. I am not a fan.

Have you seen the tread wear for the stock tires... You should have to replace these around 12-15k TOPS. Get 300+ tread wear if you want long lasting tires.
Polit sports were talked about it great ways but they suck more then this tires. And Continentals SUCK... and they come with 911's?
Depends on what you like I guess

The Bridgestone S-03 has proven to be a great tire on my car. Honestly, 15-20K miles on a set of high performance tires is reasonable given the work they're having to do. I may go with Pilots for my next set, but I have no reason to look elsewhere besides the S-03.

I have to agree that the S-03 is a great tire. I'm just dissapointed by nissan by putting RE040 on the 350z from the beginning. Just now they're beginning to put on the RE050 on the 2006 Z (and only on the track model to my understanding) when they are on the M45 sport and most 2006 G35 coupes (including automatic ones). I just expect a car as sporty as the Z to have better factory tires. Honestly, I feel a little ripped off. I've had bad experiences with the RE040, especially on wet road (where I lost traction in a 20mph turn).
Sorry for the rant =P

I have 15k miles on my 2005 Z now wtih my stock Bridgestone Potenzas... the front tires are getting worn out, but the back ones look fine. I need to rotate them soon. I wouldn't say that you have to replace them 12-15k TOPS.. but maybe that's also because I do a lot of freeway driving. For a lot of hard street driving your statement should be very accurate.
