Where is our cool 350z ignition key?
I used to have a 300zx and it came with a cool titanium key that was very unique. Now I have the 350z and my key looks exactly like my 2000 maxima key.
I know that it has a chip inside, but nissan should have done something a little more cool than the one we have.

agreed! when i picked up my Z, i thought they gave me the wrong key. my coworker's s2000 came with a bad *** s2 branded key. i know it's not a big deal, but sheesh, you would think they do something special with it.

Yes I completely agree with you guys. Ever since I got my Z, I expected a lot more (from the key). Even volkswagens have cool flip keys built into a remote. But Nissan on the other hand couldn't even produce laser cut keys by year 2006. They also have very ugly remote controls that doesn't have the Nissan logo anywhere on it. On the contrary, it is 'just' a key.

The cool key is in the same place as a number of other refinements and trivia: not there in order to hit a price point. Luv the car, luv the price point. Don't miss trivia such as a slick key. As long as it turns on the ignition, I'm, litterly, good to goooooooooooooooooooooo!

I wish you could get the smart key system in the Z ...
(this is that system where the key is essentially a code hoping chip with a proximity sensor built into something the size of a credit card, and all you have to do is be within 10 ft of the car and it'll unlock the door and you can just pushbutton start)

You guys feel bad? Look at the 05 G35 coupe keys lol. Now thats ugly, esp for a "luxury" division. I am glad atleast on the 06 they offer the Intelligent Key with the hidden mechanical key and a fob that looks like it belongs on a 35K car.
