Am a little confused on the factory warranty length, when it come to the transmission. I have read some post about the transmission problems on the 03 and everyone mentions to have it check out before the 36000 mile mark as though its your last chance for a free replacement but on nissan's warranty info on there website it shows for 03's 60.000 mile on the drive train am approaching close to 36000 in the next few months and concerned about possible grinding issue

do I have til 60,000 or only 36,000?

 

5 year 60,000 mile powertrain warranty. The tranny is an intergral part of the powertrain. I wouldn't worry about it until your speedo hits 59,900 miles.
