Default What MOD would you do here...

Hey guys I was going to go FI but I may hold off for a while now...

Anyways, I have a Borla, Jim Wolf Pop, Kinetix Test Pipes (resonated)

What would you do next in terms of performance mods for the engine...

Plenum (Crawford seems best)
Plenum Spacer (???)

OR something else???

do mods that you can keep if you go FI later... like maybe the JWT clutch/flywheel combo. Lighter flywheel for better accel/decel, and stronger clamping force which will come in handy especially with FI. That is my next performance mod.

Plenum, headers or suspension. I have the Crawford plenum and headers and they work great.

Headers and camshafts!

Upgrade your grounding wires to give you the performance edge while sitting at a stoplight at idle.

I am going to leave the suspension alone after I go with the Hotchkis kit with springs and sway. That will suit me nice. I should of mentioned that, sorry...

How many hours of labor are the headers do you think???

Looks like Plenum and headers then maybe...

My First Mod (after the ground wires) was the Crawford Plenum. Would do it all over again. Was, and still is the best bang for the buck out there.

Headers are an easy install for a *reputable performance* shop. It's just a tranny detach and a cherry pick. Say 2 hrs max if you know them. If they want to ride you it will be longer. If you go to Jiffy Lube they will take 2 days because that's not the kind of work they do, know what I mean? Find a shop where they do this thing regularly so they don't flip out. Maybe you can get your CAI installed at the same time.

Which headers would you guys recommend for me??? I have the Borla exhaust, should I stick with the Borla headers to make a match or does it not matter? Or maybe Stillen? I would hate to pay 1200.00 for Nismo or Crawford if the HP numbers are all about the same...

Personally I like keeping all the parts in line as much as possible and stay away from the hodge podge mix. Since you have Borla exhaust, why not get the headers to match. You figure it was tuned/engineered to work together for maximum effect. That's why I'm going with all Nismo parts. You can have a Borla Z.

Geez buddy calm down I think that guy was just joking around you dont need to threaten him with a beating lol. Feel sorry for any girl you date with that attitude.

P.S. I would do the clutch/flywheel its a nice change of pace.

P.S.S. Dont waste your money on headers if you intend to go FI later because you wont even feel them at that point not that you really would now.

I am actually very calm. I have no patience for idiots like that! NONE AT ALL! Hiding behind a computer and shooting your mouth off when someone is asking for help. If he was joking he could of said "lol" or "J/k" or anything really, then I would not care one bit. I would actually laugh too. But sorry I have no tolerance for that and the board just doesn't need that crap. Ok I vented, hahaha.

Thanks guys...some good advice here. I may not go FI for time now so maybe headers will be a good addition with a Plenum. Borla sounds good b/c I already have the exhaust. Now I just have to figure out Plenum vs Plenum Spacer...

The numbers are not all "all about the same". The Bolra header will produce NO gains. The Crawford will produce the most, but they are expensive and a very tough install. (I have them, and luv 'em) The Nismos and their Copy, the BRM are quite good because of the collector design. Of the rest, the DC, Strup and Alphawerks are all about the same, but do produce gains.

However, IMO, I would the plenum first. I would do Hi Flow Cats next. The stock exhaust manifold is really not that bad.

Yeah I was afraid you would say that. I already have the high flow cats, I have test pipes, LOVE the sound.

I figured the Crawford were the best and the Borlas, DC and others would not make anymore gains. I was always header cautious b/c of this. Thanks for the help guys! Good info...

Plenum it is. I am going to decide which one soon.
