Angry First act of vandalism on my car

As I was coming home from college, I checked my car to see how it was.. came back 15 mins later to drive to find egg on my windsheild first I thought, no big its just the windsheild. But I noticed small splashes of egg all over my car.

I wasnt gona leave egg to dry over night. So I took a terry cloth and wiped of any splashes I saw with some water (it was dark, i dont think i got them all). my car finish is all hazed right now and I probably instilled a lot of swirls cleaning it off, not as bad as dried egg can be tho.

I will try to wash it on wednesday after work, I am working + going to college all day tommorow

sorry dude thats a bad experience, what can you do? to others brainstorming are aftermarket alarms a good investment for the safety of the car? i had a viper installed on my old beater honda, worked great, but what the hell do we do against objects in this case eggs splattering on the car?

Yeah, since last night was halloween I kept going out to my car and walking around it to make sure that nothing had been done to it. Luckily it rained over night to so I guess if something had happened it would have mostly gotten rinsed off. Sorry to hear about your car though man.

I recently found some red stuff on my hood, like a fruit or something but I just used it as an excuse to clean my whole car.

That sucks man. But I would have went to wash it off immediately at a local car wash. Just wiping the excess off with a cloth isn't going to do much.

ahh the halloween eggings, oh how i miss being a kid. :P Sorry to hear your car got nailed, get a paintball gun and buy some jawbreakers at your local store and set around waiting for them. one pop in the side of the head wth that and I doubt they come near your car again.

After reading so many glowing comments on this forum, I recently started using Zaino on my car. I spent 11 hours total on the initial washing, claybar and 3 coats of polish, but I have to say it looks friggin' amazing.

More importantly, stuff like dust and bird crap doesn't stick very much. It rinses off very easily. I even Zaino'ed the windows and the wheels! I have the Nissan chrome alloy wheels and, not only do they sparkle, the brake dust hardly sticks at all now!

I don't know how well it would protect against eggs, but it seems like really good protection to have on your car.

Halloween ... figures. I never leave the Z outside but sometimes leave my 8 year old SUV in the driveway ... not on Halloween though. You really need to wash the car down as eggs eat though polish somehow and will etch the paint IIRC from my much younger days.

Well if it makes you feel any better, a week after I bought my 05 Z some nice person felt the need to egg it, I now have nice little egg circles in the orange paint. In this case I had no room inside as the 355 took seniority to storage space.

Sorry to hear that bro. Definitely a lot of stupid people out there that don't respect other peoples property.

From experience...the best rule of thumb is whenever there is a holiday like 4th of July, Halloween, New Years, etc... cover your car or keep your car in the garage.
