In closing the Z is a smaller more purpose built sports car, and the G is a larger sport luxury coupe.
Now that the Z's are heavier, the performance will be a little closer, but the Z still has a weight advantage. The 03-05 Z's are quite a bit lighter, 200-300 lbs.
Both are great, it's all up to what you want.

We are all (most of us) car enthosiasts who can enjoy other types of cars without really "loving" them..... Why (if your an adult as you stated) cant you respect that????

People you guys need to relax. To the original poster of this thread... if someone says a G35 is better then ask him like how Davidv says "what do you drive?". 90% of the time it will be some POS kia or saturn. But I think the G35 is a nice car. Its just like the Z. Here in LA we see the same amounts of Z's and G's although G35's are more pratical cuz they have the bac seat, bigger trunk, less power. Do you guys remember when the 300ZX was out? Nissan offered both a 2 seater and a 2by2. Its the same thing now except they sell the 2by2 as a G35coupe. The performance of the 2 cars are almost identical. 0-60 for the Z is 5.3 sec. 0-60 for the G coupe is 5.7 sec. Thats only a .4 seconds difference which you can't even feel. Handling wise the Z actually handles better because its lighter but the G35 coupe does pull a .93 lateral g... just like the Z. And even the HP ratings are almost the same 287/274... 280/270 and the 6MT gets 300/260 and 298/260. Top speed of the Z.. 157. Top speed of the G..156. Both have a coefficient drag of .29 when they have the OEM spoilers on.They are the same cars but the G is more pratical and the Z is more fun to drive. Now before anyone decides to flame me and ask "why didn't you get a G35?" well thats because when I went to the delearship, the salesmen were complete d!cks. I said I want to test drive the car and they said come back with your parents and if you buy it then you can test drive. So I gave them the finger and left and went with the Z. Ok sorry for the long post and flame suit is on!
