Default VDC option?

I am interested in you oppinions on VDC (Vehicle dynamic control)? Is it worth for the Z?
Also, is it possible to install it yourself (by putting-in the harness, control module and G sensor from a wrecked Z)?
Thanks.

If you can afford it and the weather gets bad where you live, it's worth it.

I think it would be a huge effort to install VDC. There's a lot involved.

Most 350Z owners drive a model which has VDC. You want to install it yourself? Hell. We cant even figure out how it works!

Mine only has TCS (04 Touring AT). I thought VDC is basically electronics plus G sensor. Isn't it doing the job by communicating with ECM (power reduction), plus commanding ABS system?

Yep, you got it. But in snow it's useless. I turn it off every time I get in the car unless I'm going a long distance on the highway or it's raining. Otherwise it's more of an annoyance than anything else. I wouldn't worry about it unless it rains a lot where you live (and if you just drive carefully I'm sure you'd be fine).
