Does the 2006 350Z have a valet mode? Id like to know since i need to get my door fixed thanks to kids throwing rocks. I dont need no body shop people destroying the highway in my new car.

I'd just have the service manager note the mileage on the invoice like I always do. That get's his attention to monitor the car. At the same time I'll also inform them to NOT wash the car after the service.

actually, the body shop my Z just came out of washed and waxed the entire thing! they also vacuumed the interior and made it perfect. however i think they took it our and ragged on it. IIRC there were several miles unaccounted for by my observation.....

The Z comes with a Valet Key but I've seen no reference in the manuals to a valet mode. All the valet key does is keep them from opening the locked glove box.

If you're paranoid like me, you need a CarChip. It's made by a company named Davis Electronics:

http://www.davisnet.com/drive/produc...p_products.asp

It plugs into the OBDII port and monitors speed, RPM, braking and acceleration plus 4 other user selectable parameters. It allows you to see what your car has been through - if ya know what I mean.

actually most body shops wash every car they work on. i worked at 2 and both washed every car that went through there with body work done to it. who wants to get a car back thats basically half clean (the fresh paint) and the rest dirty.
