I didn't even think, consider, or therefore even testdrive the sti or evo. 1 test drive of the Z was good enough...rather, even before test driving it i liked it I had considered the new audi a3, but too expensive, and the dealer was firm on msrp.

 

This comming from an M3 owner who probably paid 2X as much for his car with slightly, and I mean SLIGHTLY better power and performance.....

Ignorant is right, some of them. The BMW seem pretty cool, but it's really not fair, all of the cars they are compairing aginst the Z cost a **** ton more money. What's the point in compairing. If I had more money I would have got a faster car, probably a new Z06 (mmmmm, so hot) but I don't I had to make due with the money I had, and Im lovin' it.

Im not bashing anyone, or any car, there are a lot better cars out there than the Z, but as far as $ per performance and looks the Z beats all HANDS DOWN, but I guess im a bit biased.

maybe biased but i would say still right. the point is if you pay a shyte load of $
as with some of these amg owners it better be faster. but that said...pound for
pound a heavily modded z could rape an amg with a shyte load of $$ left.

but you know we are bashing these other folks...but as someone else said how
many times do we see XYZ vs ZYX posts on these forums and are guilty of the

Actually......putting NOS in a pontiac vibe is the only cost efficient way to gain power.

Regarding the posts on the MB forums, I applaud that one guy for being standing up for 350Z owners and all car owners in general.

Just remember guys when a Honda wants to race us on the street, we can't be as condescending as some of those MB guys. Otherwise we'd be hypocrits.

 

That pontiac vibe posts sounds like BS. A vibe even with a 65 shot shouldnt be able to walk a stock Z the way he described.

Have some tact in your responses here guys. Bashing other makes/models makes you no better than the a holes on those other forums who bash the Z.

 

In the end here is what it comes down to.

Any AMG or M3 or any other higher end car like that braggin that they beat a less then 30K car should be ashamed of themselves.

It's like me going out and racing Aveo's or Stock Civics, or Cavaliers. It's shameful.

As for the WRX guys. There is no way a WRX (non-STi) would take a Z. I raced my friend too many times to count. Even with his exhaust, and aftermarket computer I still have always came out on top. Always.

 

I'm sick and tired of all this z-bashing from various groups, like the pontiac, bmw, mercedes (and especially subaru and mitsubishi) lovers. Like said before, the Z isn't the best performance car out there, and that's comin from a guy that LOVES his 350z. I still respect the other competition out there and have nothing but love for my friends and their cars that are from the companies I mentioned earlier. Hell my friends have alot of respect for my car. Man I bet some of those haters that pick the EVO or STI don't even own one and are just speaking from a spec sheet comparison. Man can't we all just get along or something? Every car has its weakness and strenghths, but I personally think the DRIVER is the main factor in a car's performance. I've seen some other-brand bashing in this forum, but not as many as the other car forums I've checked out in the past. So in other words, I got alot of respect for you guys on this forum; we're a tight community and help each other out when push comes to shove.

 

Hell...My daily driver is an '05 Grand Prix (I'd never actually BUY the car, but it makes a nice company car with it's sports sedan styling, spoiler, and it's 200 HP 3.8L V6..and Thank God, Traction Control, which my Base Z lacks).

However, Pontiac isn't the best in terms of fit & finish and electrically related stuff (within the engine). To actually BUY a $25-30K Pontiac when you can have a clearly superior Japanese car for the SAME $ makes ZERO SENSE, IMO.

I am a member of bimmerforums.com and used to own a bmw. There are real enthusiasts there and i learned a lot. Still visit from time to time. At the end of the day the grass always looks greener on the other side and half the people commenting on those boards have never even sat in a 350z so how valued can thier opinions be?

AWD cars with RWD



i test drove a evo 8 today and let me tell you , i took some turns in that thing that i dont think the z could have done if the person didnt know how to handle a RWD car...


i pushed the hell out of the evo on the turns and never felt like i was going to lose comtrol..... i was impressed... but i dont think i would buy one


out of the AWD groups the sti is the only i would buy.


but like i said, i dont you can compare AWD cars with RWD cars

 

as for the WV, there not used to 2 seaters, and they drive golfs, and jettas, so what would they know.
