For the most trannies replaced?

I have heard about people on their second and 3rd trannies. Has anybody had to replace theirs 3 or more times?

Those of you who have and are having them fixed under warranty, aren't you worried about what's going to happen after the warranty expires and you have to pay for those trannies? Or are you guys planning to sell after the warranty is up?

I just get so pi$$ed at Nissan for not doing something to fix the tranny and other related problems and I don't even own one.

I would think that most people who have had 3+ trannies would be filing a lemon law claim.

I think it is a very small % that have had tranny problems.

And, if you don't own one why are you getting worked up?

My 03 Z now has 28,000 miles & it still shifts like a swiss watch.

I'm getting worked up because I love the looks (inside and out), power, handling and price of the car and get scared everytime I read about a tranny going South thread. It also irritates me that Nissan has done nothing to fix the problems. I am also reading a lot of other quality issues with the car in general. I'm driving my second Nissan vehicle now, 3rd if you count an old Datsun I had and just can't help but wonder if I will never own another Nissan product or not.

I just don't know if I can live with all of it's quirks and or possible future quirks.

you will always hear a million complaints from the small % of people who have problems. this is true of anything, and it's even worse online and with cars

Im on my 3rd tranny(2nd replacement). I have an early 03' model, and the original tranny and the 1st replacement were "the bad ones". My latest one was the 4th gen tranny and I havent had any problems with it in 24K miles even with the abuse I throw at it. Stock clutch at 53K BTW still hanging in there with powershifting, and 6000rpm launches on slicks.

Nissan is NOT improving the reliability of the 350Z transmission? And your data is from where?

My trans has a lil over 40k miles on it now. The clutch was replaced at 27k but other than that it still runs like new and feels very tight.

03 Track with 15,500 miles... no problems except window streaks which were easily cured.

im on my 3rd tranny and it seems to be holding up just fine. I probably wont keep this car past 60k miles just because i've had so many problems with it.
