Default Arguement to buy Z

Hey guys, i am about to graduate college, and my final gift from my parents will be a new car. I have my heart set on the Z, and in the past my parents have seemed open to the idea. I need your help in putting together a great arguement in favor of the Z. Everyone pitch in an give me some great facts regarding safety, quality, ect.. on the Z to present my parents with for arguing my case. Thanks guys!!

1) Safety - highly rated in collision tests.
2) Quality - It's a Nissan
3) Looks - What can I say? Fast, sexy, beautiful.
4) History - It's a Z! Been around for 36 years.

It's not too expensive for maintenance.

Don't listen to the haters. It's one thing being a spoiled brat, it's another if your parents want to do something nice for you.

1. Good crash ratings.
2. Excellent braking ability.
3. Excellent handling ability.
4. Decent gas milage for the power you get.
5. Looks more expensive than it actually is.
6. Maintenance is cheaper than many other cars in its price range.
7. If you have a clean driving record, insurance is only slightly higher than a "normal" car.

+1 on ignoring the haters. Prove them wrong by enjoying your car, taking care of it, and showing your folks how appreciative you are.

-Excellent crash ratings.
-Japanese relibility.
-Low maintence costs (I've done every service by the book & spent less than $400 thru 28,000 miles.
-Decent gas milage
-Good Consumer Report report.
-Around 9.5 rating (out of 10) on MSN auto.

Congrats on graduating and thank the good lord for parents who can & will buy you a new car on graduating.

PS: Get at least the Enthusiast model...cite the safety equipment.

Tell them you are tired of consulting the solitary vice every night before bed and going to the gym will cut in on spending quality time with them, they will understand. Or at least your dad will....

Just tell them you really love them and that you really want the Z. They are buying you a car to reward you, so I doubt they'll want to disappoint you by buying something else.

And like others have said, forget the haters. I may have bought the Z on my own, but if my parents had offered to buy it for me, I wouldn't have said no...

If your parents are reading this, do not get him a 350Z! it is very unsafe in the rain, and lethal in the snow. You do not want to endanger your "child" and everyone else on the road. Thanks, have a nice day.

btw, congrats on graduating

Congratulations on getting your degree. Its time to cut the umbilical cord. Get a job, save some money and buy a 350Z. Then when you visit your parents they will brag "This is my son's car. He bought it with his money."

+1 Tell em not to get it for you. "No thanks Mom and Dad, but I want to save up and get it myself"
I would take it but would feel bad because I wouldn't really deserve it JUST for graduating college. I mean, if I'm going to college isn't that what I'm supposed to do? Graduate? You shouldn't get gifts for doing what your supposed to do. Too many people these days have a sense of entitlement.
Anyway... good luck with the car. You will love it!. Can I sell your parents on it? No way. It is a totally impractical car for a recent college grad for so many reasons. They should get you a civic.

Thank you guys for all the advice and the congrats, it is much apprecieted. I'm finishing college in 3 1/2 years with a double bachelors in finance and marketing and a minor in business law. I agree with many of you, and i do feel like a spoiled *****, however, i worked hard, and worked full time to pay many of my own bills all throughout school and my parents are doing this because their proud of what i achieved and how i took matters into my own hands and didnt ask for a hand out. Thank you all again and hopefully i'll see you all on the roads soon!
