LA Auto Show - Yellow Turbo Z!

Everyone knows that the front and rear bumpers as well as the lower rockerpanel/valence is color-keyed plastic, however did you know that the entire A-pillar all the way back to were the rear hatch roof hinge is, is plastic!?
I did not know this until now. Thus the question is, if they can color match this plastic so well with the rest of the vehicle, then why does the bumpers and rocker panel on some 350Z's do not? Is this piece painted with the rest of the sheetmetal at the same time? Anyone know why?

just to note, that is the Axis car and is in fact naturally aspirated. The intercooler is simply mounted but not connected; the car was photographed with it's bonnet up, it still retains the stock intake--lack of turbo verified. It is a nice color and has some serious rolling stock though.
