Nissan Canada has done jack squat for us. I ordered in April and have yet to see even a confirmation. Total BS. However, if you were to ask me if I would rather have a nice packet and CD, or a lower price on my car, I would take the latter. So maybe I'll stop complaining now

I received a confirmation letter via Purolator, preceded by a call from Nissan Canada 2 days earlier.

I am first in line at my dealer. They were asked to select one (out of their 3 total) Zs for "early delivery" as they put it. As such, my name shows up on their computer system with my 350Z beside it. The second guy in line doesn't have his name on the system, but his car is there.

Oh yeah, and they said that I should receive the car in August.

What are others' experiences?

Wow, same here, only that i ordered it from Richmond, British Columbia. Yeah and i agree if u can find a infinity dealer near u that will help u to order the Z then that's the way to go, they have a MUCH better service than nissan dealer and they also have more informations.

Pros and Cons about buying cars in Canada is that dealers don't mark the price to whatever they want, but then we also don't get the benefit Americans do.

Didn"t get my package either. Ordered my blk perfomance 350z at St. Clair Nissan (toronto) in Feb, and received confirmation call/letter late April. Dealer/salesman knows squat, call 1 800 # and rep couldn't answer one single question(told to check with my airhead salesman). Really disappointed with the way that Nissan Canada handle their clients. However, they sort of make it up by allowing us to purchase at great price for a fully loaded Z.

PS. my car is one of first four alotted to this dealership. I saw the bulletin that broke down all dealerships alotment (out of total of 441 cars for this year)

I ordered March 13. Spoke with me dealer a few weeks back to inquire about estimated delivery date. Couple of days later she received a fax from Nissan Canada with the production date set for July and estimated delivery date of end of august to mid september. With a little effort from your dealers they should atleast be able to get you the production month. Fortunately i have been very lucky and have gotten excellent service from my sales person.

hows the market here in canada for the 350z. Did all the pre orders get sold out. I plan on purchasing after the pre orders are done and just want to know if i will have a hard time. DId you say that the dealers in canada have to follow MSRP? SO the price wouldn't go up?

I order my Z on April 20, 2002. I was told by my salesman to expect a called with 2 weeks ... got nothing. Caled Nissan Canada hot line, what a joke... emailed Nissan Canada looking for some info another joke. All they did was get my dealerships manager to call me, he knew or told me absolutely nothing.

Extremely dissapointed with the lack of response from Nissan Canada, looking for delivery date, option details, anything.. they know nothing. In fact they were not even aware of teh July 3rd news blackout...

You see this is why I gladly paid my membership fee ... it seems to be the only way to stay on top of what is happeneing.

I've been told I am #24 at my dealership, told various numbers for the number of cars they will get by month, date is anywhere from year end to early 2003 .. what a joke. If they (nissan) cannot manage this kind of release why bither getting their customers pissed off.

I'd be interested in hearing from other Canadians, are they getting any news if so what and how? BTW my manager knew nothing about any gift or package to the pre-order customers.

I may even copy the posts from this thread and send them to Nissan Canada to let them know what a lousy job their doing to the great car!

What do you think???

I ordered in Feb/02. My dealer does not know squat. I called Nissan Canada and all they could say was they expect deliveries in August. (Any way all of their top executives have been replaced - see separate post). I ordered from Kingchurch in Ajax Ontario. This dealership was recently bought out by a company that owns an Acura and a Honda dealership. There has been a complete change over of sales and management staff. I am not sure that they are even aware of the significance of the Z.
