Replaced zero times. Whenever the drivers window will not open, I smack the inside of the door. So far that’s worked every time.

What about when you open the door the window is supposed to move down about 1/3" or so automaticaly. And when you shut the door the window goes back up to seal on the rubber door frame moldings. But as time goes by it doesn't move down much at all. I had this fixed twice but it never last. I think they just adjusted a sensor or something.
I have an '03. Do the new models still have this (at first I thought it was cool) stupid feature? And does anyone know how to fix by DYI?

I'd like to know this as well. My driver's side used to drop about 1/4-1/3 of an inch, just like my passenger side, but now only drops about 1mm; it's very annoying. I had it adjusted once and it was better, but then the window motor went out and after it was replaced (diff. dealer), it only dropped a mm again. That dealer said there was no adjustment and that the book states that as long as it drops 1-10mm, it's fine. Sure, it's fuctioonal and does what it's supposed to do, but annoying that it does not drop nicely like the pass side. Anyone know if this really can be adjusted or not and if so, what's the procedure?

Oh, and yes, the new models still have this feature.

Z is about 3 yrs old.

Replaced drivers side motor about 6 months ago after being reset atleast 6 times
Reset pass side about 5 times. Has not given me issues for a few months (knocks on wood)

I had to dish out $463 for the motor to be replaced. This is total BS in my book.

Another vote for a driver side window that crapped out. It just happened a few weeks ago after having her for 2 years. Luckily it was still under warranty. It only took around 2 hours to get fixed.

Another '03 owner. Haven't replaced a thing ! Let's hear it from any other '03 owners who haven't had any of these problems !

FrankieZZ
PS I'm beginning to think some owners live at Drive Thru windows all day .We don't have that problem here in New Hampshire because it's always freezing anyway . Hah , hah !

I bought a passenger side motor for $145 with a $40 core charge. Once I change it out, return the old one and I get the $40 back.

Question though....I installed my Vortech...how hard is it going to be to install this sucker? I replaced my door speakers...how much farther do I have to go to get to the motor in the door?

Delivered in Nov '02 and minor feathering has been the only issue.

well escobar yeah you could consider yourself luck, but actually most of the 03z's dont have problems it just seems that way on here because no one reports not having problems everyone reports having problems

'03 drivers side window problem, frequently, but not always, does not close that last little fraction of an inch when closed and recently when parked I come back to find the window has lowered itself down about halfway while parked and unoccupied. Today it didn't want to go up after finding it down, finally got it to go up after turning off the car and starting over, anybody else have this problem?
One dealer said there has been a service tech bulletin about 350 windows but he didn't know the particulars.

did you find a fix for this problem? I would like to fix it myself if possible instead of taking it in to the dealer. By the way my driver's side motor was replaced recently and it already developed the same problem.
