I think thats a myth. lol I have yet in my life had an insurance company ask what color my car is. Also got qoutes on various colors of the same car just to see if differnt Vin numbers made a difference, Nope!!

ps-the twins are back for reals. the original twin just posted in the twins thread. Its really him to, not a joke. Same screen name, 18 posts, from NJ, and has the exact same 2002 join date to this forum. Awesome!!!

Daytona Blue, Ultra yellow was my first choice but didn't have it back in 2004 when I bought my DB Z.

Do not get DB, I dont want it to get too popular. lol, just kidding, go with which ever you feel better.

When I bough mine, I was between silverstone and DB. And I thank God every day that I chose it, I now lealize DB is the color for me, nothing against silverston, just that I feel better with a DB z.

Thumbs up

When new, clean or polished, silver looks the best.

When old, dirty or faded, silver looks the best.

I own Super Black, but my second choice would be the Daytona Blue. I love it with the leather interior.

Silver is hopelessly boring, the red on the Z is a very dull and drab shade of red (I hate it) so the only real way to go is DB.

I have SS and love it. However, of the three colors you are looking at go with the DB. Red will stand out and get you more tickets. Silver too common, but, looks nice.
DB is bright enough to get a bit of attention but doesn't scream, "TICKET ME !!! I"M A EXOTIC SPORTS CAR !!!" like a red car would. I hate tickets so I tend to want to blend in. Grey helps you do that. You have to be careful that you don't blend in too much on hot days too much. So, the con to a SS car is you have to turn on your lights to be safer at times. The pro is it helps you hide a bit...... Silver is the same thing .....

I have the PPW simply because i like the shape of the car with that color and it can look pretty good at night. But out of your choices i'd say the red since the blue is much more used.

To me that SA is a unique color... it kinda glows. I had UY and loved it. This time I struggled between DB and PPW. I went with PPW only because of our summers here... DB would have got just too hot.

DB screams pull me over and ticket me just as much, if not moreso, than a red one.

I LOVE how the red tail lights look against the blue. So hot!

I work a lot, so I don't get out much but most of what I have seen is silver Z's, which I suppose isn't surprising. Saw a white one today and I recall only once seeing a redline about 3 weeks ago.

I recall seeing one blue one also.

I'm sure I have seen more red and blue ones but they don't stick in my mind like all the silver ones I've seen.

We've all heard the stories about red being a ticket magnet but you're joking about the rates being higer simply on the basis of the color being red, I HOPE

Sorry but PPW was at the very bottom of my list. Next to the bottom was a toss up between the Sunset and lagos fire one.

That's kind of how I feel about silver too. It's been done to death like 20" chrome on SUV's. Of the 3 colors on my list, the only color I have never owned is red. Tho the blue truck I had years ago was barley considered blue, so I don't really count it that much. The Daytona reminds me of both blue R1's I had. Don't know if that's a good thing or not though But I loved both of my R1's
