Default AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Dang DRIVE THRU'S!!!!!

OMG I can't believe I just totally scuffed up my brand new rims on my brand new 06. I was going thru the drive through at Chick fil-a to get the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese biscuit and totally fudged up my front rim. The drive thru at this particular location is very narrow and has concrete barriers on BOTH sides so you have to be very careful. Well I guess I wasn't careful enough because it's messed up now. That's one expensive *** Sausage, egg, and Cheese biscuit. I'll never be going through that drive thru ever again.

So my next course of action is:

a) Do nothing and leave it the way it is.
b) Replace the rim with a new one.
c) Buy a whole new set of 19's
d) Have it repaired

Well here are the pics of the damage. I'm still so freaking pissed.

Wow, that's some serious curbage Knock on wood, I've yet to curb my Nismo's. I'd probably be sick to my stomach.

Well, now's a good reason to pick up some 19's?

I would either try to get it fixed, or possible pick up one off ebay...maybe someone is getting rid of their 35th anniversary wheels. The only problem is trying to find 1 wheel and not a set of 4. Good luck!

It's a sign from the Z gods that it's time for you to buy new wheels.

Yep, I backed out just a liitte at Sonic, went to open my door to throw some trash in to a trash can. When I open the door my mirror banged into the menu and I knocked a gash into the clear coat on my mirror. My car is 5 month old. No matter how careful you are, those things are just going to happen.

Getting it repaired would probably cost what? Like $150 but even then do you think it would come out right? I might take it to the Nissan body shop and see what they say.

How much do you think a whole new rim would cost?

And yes I want 19's bad but I don't know if I'm ready to drop 3 grand.

OUCH!

That's painful... That's why I bought my wheels used and didn't go for $3000 set. Because I knew they would get messed up sooner or later. So to avoid the heartache and pain I bought a used set of 19inch ADR M-Sports hyperblack. They were nearly perfect aside from small curbing on passenger rear.

4 months into having my wheels my lady needed to borrower my Z to run some errands and she curbed the front passenger wheel. It wasn't too bad but I would've exploded if I had a set of the 19inch Nismos or Volks.

Good luck getting it fixed!

They can usually fix the wheels for less than 100 bucks. They also come out perfect when they are done. I got run into a curb by a lady and gauged my HRE's pretty bad and they were able to fix my wheels to perfect. It was so good infact that I bet people $10 that they couldn't tell me which wheel got scratched.

Sorry to hear, I feel your pain though. Last week, I tried to park near a curb to avoid door dings, swung in too soon, and scratched up the underside of the side skirt. I fixed it as best as an amature could and you can't tell unless you have the car on a lift. But I kicked myself for trying to avoid a door ding and getting something worst. Like the others said, $150-200 should fix it.

I also tried to park near the curb a while back, almost curbed my 17's if it wasn't for the tire. Luckily I had not installed my 19's yet. Maybe I should avoid curbs in general, haha.

yeah that sux man, i'm so cafeful thru banks and all drive thrus. I drove a truck before my Z and in my truck i could go into a curb and i would just hit tire, but with the Z these nice rims eat all the damage. Just get it repaired if they can make it like new, if they cant then buy a new rim, these are nice rims.
