Based on the FAQ, there is a rotating bar that runs between the two rails with a "hump" in the middle. Once you drive your car onto the rails, you rotate the bar up so that you can get a jack under the hump. You jack the rear of the rails far enough to drop the legs and then lower the jack so the weight transfers to the legs.
