I thought this was an interesting article about how car makers are making bigger seats because we're all getting wider:

Wider seats are not a bad idea. I am a pretty decent size guy and I find the Z seat very comfortable. It maybe because I do not have the side impact airbags. Z seats with thoses are little uncomfortable.

hell yeah, on the positive side the more obese ppl there are, the shorter the avg life span, thus less money paid via social security, thus more likelyhood I'm not paying taxes out my a$$ for nothing.

The Z is a sports car. I think sports cars were never intended for the obese anyway. Why is it that America it seems to be the only country that the population has a weight problem? I never seen any other countries that has the same problem except japan but then its only the sumo wrestlers.

LOL dont get me started on that one!!

i dont think its because of the MAAAASS ammount and number of fast food joints available 24/ 7 and their cheap *** food

or because its Too much work for our kids to "go out and Play" lol

And another thing is the secretarial jobs, all the ladies do those jobs have the biggest and the most gargantuan fat *** EVER ...
Its because of inactivity!

People just need to move around and be more active...

so freaking true.. I grew up in Eurpope and my childhood was SOOOO much different from the kids here.. I wasnt consumed by video games/computer because i was out there playing sports and socializing...It is really sad when you see fat little kids because i really do feel sorry for them but the worst thing is that society teaches you that it is OK to be fat... that is just freaking wrong

Ugh...I have some problems with this.

If you want to lose weight, realize there is no miracle pill you can take. Just eat right and exercise! You can't diet and sit on your *** all day. It will do nothing for you!

As for the kids playing to many video games, guess what, they don't get the $50 for a game from nowhere. Parents give them the money, parents take them to EB Games or Walmart or where ever. If you think they are playing to much, simply stop buying them games, and get them a baseball and a glove, or a football, or a basketball, it doesn't matter.

According to the body mass index, i'm over weight. I'm 5'10" 190, but i've been a gym rat for the last 10 years of my life. I played football from 5 years old to my senior year of college. I think it might need to be reworked.

Sorry if I seem a little insensitive, but its pretty insulting to the US as a whole when i'm in England, and someone said i'm from, "The Land of the Giants."

Yeah, I've played sports my whole life but now that I'm out of college and in the real world I can feel my metabolism catching up with me. You have to make an effort to remain active or you'll balloon, .

Yeah Wider seats and F***ing french fry holders, whats next a food warmer glove box so their cheese burgers, fried lard pies stay nice and warm. I can see why police cars need bigger seats, sitting on you ****/*** all day pointing your laser/radar guns at 350Z's while eating free donuts and drinking gallons of soda, maybe they need to eat turkey wraps and patrol on bicycles.

Dont go by body mass index , if you workout alot you have more muscle than the normal person, muscle weights more than fat.

I'm fat . I really messed up my knee, LCL, ACL and meniscus all torn.. I gained 30 lbs in 2 months. Now thats your metabolism catching up. I used to workout 2 hrs a day 4 times a week just to maintain sub-overweight BMI. Sucks to be like that. If i was a normal person i'd be buff as hell...i ate good too but it just wont come off. I worked out for 2 years and only gained muscle, nvr lost fat. ****ty

Why would it be so hard to offer vehicle with adjustable bolsters (since that's what matters) without buying an $80K car.

America is fat. It's sad.

I've got a 31" waist, and it's sometimes hard to find pants. Jeez.

That reminds me, I eat at buffets allot ( yes thats where the human cattle come home) lol

i saw an obece mother telling her obece child to eat everything on her plate she takes!! i was thinking " my god woman your killing your child slowly"

why cant parents take responsibility for there fat kids its not to late for them.

Kids will not go hungry, if they arnt forced to stuff themselves with that fattyfried sweet garbage. just let them stop when they feel full, and eat when hungry.. and dont let them eat garbage if thy get hungry they WILL eat lol.

but parents are responsible for their kids fatness.

yes there are a some cases where its genetic but not most of the time.

People have choices to make and its a good idea to not let marketing dictate what you must have.
