anyone ever pushed the Z a little too much when they were in their break in period? if anyone did, did you experience any problems?

 

What do you mean? tapping the rev limitter? Yeah, I did that twice. The motor was so smooth and I just couldn't keep my foot out of it for the full 1200 miles. I didn't even think I was close to the rev limitter cause it was pulling so strong and quiet. The Pop charger I have on there now helps me hear the motor better. It was too quiet before.

Maybe at 500 miles I hit the rev limitter in two gears. Haven't hit the limitter since. Funny thing is I have only hit a rev limitter two other times in my whole life. It was weird. I thought I broke something. That was mostly because I thought I was only at 5K or so. NOT!!! The car doesn't burn oil and gets ~30mpg. So, it probably won't hurt it once or twice. If you are still keeping it under 4Krpms the rest of the time.

That was my experience. Mine seemed to break in really well.
