Default start off the new year with a bang....literally

I hit a damn big ol' piece of tire on my way home Sunday morning. I couldn't dodge the thing because I was going too fast, I hit it pretty good but hoped I ran straight accross it.

Anyways, here are some pictures of the damage.

Anyone know how much this will cost me? Should I go with my insurance (I have $250 deductable)

This sucks.

From the pictures it looks like all you need is a new front bumper, probably run you around $800 for bumper & paint.

Yeah, it sucks but think of it as an oppertunity to try a new front bumper.

OEM replacement bumper is around $220.00

paint is about $350.00-$400.00 for a good job and install

The front bumper cover is $250 from Nissan + whatever the body shop charges for paint and install. I wouldn't pay more than $300 for paint and install.

The problem is there aren't many pieces of tire on the freeway for me to run over...

like the others have said, it looks like it's a bumper damage and glad that YOU r okay. I hit a friggin ladder that was left in the middle of the hwy the other night and chipped my front Nismo chin spoiler. them CAL TRAN need to start working soon and get these debris off the roads.

I say look for a used front bumper in the classifieds. Not sure which you have (Looks like chrome silver) but both silver colors are pretty common in the classifieds. Might be an option.

Actually my car's color is a titanium polished chrome grey silverstone.

I think I'm going to let my insurance take care of it.
