You mean the fan is always on? Because you can turn the AC off... at least I can.
And people complaining about the oil dipstick... It's not that hard, I check my oil every couple of thousands K to see how it's doing, I've never had trouble taking it out and in. But I once saw a MIDAS guy asking for help when he was checking my oil

I guess I read his comment wrong, "AC is defaulted as ON all the time" I thought he was saying that the AC is on all the time and he couldn't shut it off.

Do you know about the 2 seconds press down option? If you want the recirculate to work automatically, you press down on the recirculate for 2 seconds or more until the light flashes. I believe it is on the automatic setting by default when you buy it. Just press the recircualte button for 2 seconds or more and it should turn it to manual mode. Got this from the manual, so it's not some hidden trick.
