Default Went to dealership!?

Thought that no sound coming out of the rear speaker behind the driver's seat would be a warranty issue, but since I have an aftermarket HU they said the warranty is void! The speaker wasn't working with the stock HU, which was only replaced a week ago, but who's gonna believe that?

Well, driver's rear has no sound and the passenger rear has little sound. Service guy told me to try to disconnect the "factory amp"...I didn't think these cars had a factory amp? BTW, I have non-Bose, non-NAV. He said the factory amp is in the trunk. Anyone ever heard of that? If I disconnect the "factory amp" won't the sound completely stop in the amp-powered speakers?

I know Nissan speakers suck, but I was just trying to get some more time out of the stock speaker before buying new ones! BTW, I have a Pioneer HU w/ Sirius radio installed.

Thanks!

you can bring the car back to where you have your HU installed and they can check for you. Don't bring to dealer.

I installed the HU myself...that's not the probem. Speaker stopped working with the stock stereo still in. I need to know if the factory amp idea is legit and what is necessary to bypass it.

I have an amplifier in my truck (hatch)? Don’t think so.

Perhaps you could put the stock HU back, then take your car to a different dealer?
