I always give them the thumbs up, old Z or new Z. I find that most of the men respond and the women...well...they wont even turn their head most of the time. Once in awhile I find a COOL Z CHICK who looks over and gives me the thumbs up 1st, those are probably the ones you may find here. But most women seem completely oblivious to their surroundings and dont even notice Im on the side of them till I go by. WTF

 

I give a thumbs-up if I'm able to get alongside them. When they are in the oncoming lane I usually flash them twice with the high beams...didn't know this was the "traditional Z-flash." The double high-beam flash works great because it is more conspicuous. Once I get their attention I still try to follow-up with a thumbs up and gauge their enthusiasm. Sometimes its mutual, sometimes not

Tend to agree. "MOST (not all) women seem completely oblivious to their surroundings." No disrespect ladies...we're just wired differently.

Always. I wave or give a high-beam flash. Reply's have been about 50-50.

 

 

I do all the time, old, and new Z's as well as G's. Never get anything from G's, 25% response from new Z's and about 50% from old Z's. There are a couple of M3's around here that wave back all the time.

 

Around my area it used to be customary to flash the headlights at other Z owners and nod. That was two years ago. Now there are so many Z's on the road you might as well leave the headlights on to acknowledge other Z owners.

 

Do you all give each other winks and blow kisses too? LOL, I tell you what, gimme a thumbs up and I'll show you different digit... Haha

 

I give a small wave or hit the flashers. A lot don't respond...the few who do include older Z models! I even get motorcyclist who give me the low five! It's great!!

 

Just today in a parking lot I drove right past a Z stopped at a stop sign and I had my window down. I was looking at his Z the entire time and as I drove right by him i gave him the thumbs up. No response. I started laughing because I realized I was next to him at a stoplight once late at night just me and him, I rolled down the window and looked over to say whats up to a fellow Z guy. Well he didn't even look my way. When we both started going he looked over and I gave him the thumbs up and didn't get anything back. He is young too, I dont know WTF his problem is, next time maybe I'll honk?

 

Maybe they just like the fact that a young chick drives a Z and they let $hit slide....

 

Well I've only had my Z for one day but 1 for 1 i got a wave back. but last night i was out on my drive way and a Z passed by. I wanted to wave but for some reason just stared. He slowed down reved and sped off =\ i guess i ofended him cause i didnt wave

 

i try to give a head nod or anything i can, most z owners have ignored me.

 

I wave at every Z I pass, old or new. However, my waves are about to start turning single fingered!! I'm getting really sick of people just looking at me like I'm crazy, or ignoring me. And I've pretty much given up on waving at Gs.

I'm on my second 350Z, and so far with this one, only ONE person has waved! It was cool though - it was a really old guy in another LS.

Makes me appreciate driving my husband's Jeep. Jeep people ALWAYS wave. Come to think of it, when I had my Miata, the Miata people always waved too.

 

I always wave to Z owners when i see them. I almost always get a possitive response from everyone who realizes that i'm waving to them. Older ladies usually show the most joy. I guess they like being recognized in their nice sports car.

Moron in an '06 Silver Alloy coupe just looked at me like I was crazy.

 

I hate when this happens. Lately I've been using the hazard-flash and no one responds!! Geeze, get on the ball people. You own a Z you gotta wave back! lol

 

I dont give a thumbs up per say nor do I see people giving me a thumbs up I just people giving me a wave. I just started noticing this a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was just a Jeep or Bike thing. I get the Jeep wave and now I get the Z/G wave now all I need to do is buy a bike hehe
