Default parts origins

anyone know where all the parts for the Z are made in? like the VIN number starts with a J so i know the car was assembled/made in japan. but i was wondering if the engine, transmission, chassis, etc were made in another country? anyone know?

As you mentioned, the VIN identifies the assembly plant, not where the parts are made. Another source that will not answer your question is OEM parts in Nissan packaging. The packaging does not include the country of origin.
