I say get your N/A mods out of the way 1st. 5K is no where near enough to go Boost safely, unless your going N2O. I say go NX, get all the proper upgrades (roughly 3K) then spend 2K on rims. There your fast as hell, fsafe as hell and your car looks good.

i guess im saving more till i break in

That is cool that you have that much cash laying around. I usually write checks to avoid having to carry around $30,000 in cash in my pocket. Did you take it in their in a briefcase or was it in like a paper bag or something.

5k is well enough for a vortech kit. Maintenance on those suckers is nothing compared to a turbo. That's what I would do.

Lol if i were you i'd get 'ready' for FI. I'm sure u wont be able to make a decision that quick so get stuff you can use if you go NA, T/C, TT/C, S/C ect. This includes (not including cosmetics)

Fatter tires
light weight wheels
UTEC
Cams (less boost same power)
Flywheel/clutch combos
Intake manifold
Test pipes, TD 2.5inch exhaust
Wideband O2 gauges

All these things can lead you to a finely tuned NA car, or a ready to go FI car.

5 Grand can go a long way :-D

with an Auto.. you might burn your transmission like crazy too.. not to mention that you should valve upgrade first.. and learn to drive AT FI.. sooo maybe you should trade in your z for a MT first and use the 5k to pay it off? for 5k Safe AT boosting, i suggest Wet NOS + some tires

props to be able to save 5k.. i saved 600 and couldn't take it.. bought exhaust and headers.. now i gotta pay it off somehow ><;

I would wait until the JWT TT comes out (CARB pending). Also, you might want to save a lil more money in order to work on ur internals (cams, pistons, and rods) in order to sustain the increased boost. Last thing you want is a blown engine. That's what I plan to do in the near future.

Take the money and get
some nice wheels (volks, racing hart, work, etc)
some suspension
than go for the stuff ull need for FI in the future (exhaust, etc)

wheels on the Z is like giving a girl the money shot

man i love my stock rims, i wouldnt mind wider in the back but i would like to keep the factory rim look, if they made them 19X10.5 or something. but yeah i would change out the rubber deff. as far as fi, i thin k it all depends on what you want out of your car. do you want ***** to the wall fast, or will you be sat w/ around 400whp, do you care about reliability? i couldnt tell you what i would do cause i drive a 6mt, wouldnt know what to do w/ an at, sorry.

You should get this Vortech Supercharger from a member on this site. Only $4200.

I gave my gf the $32K and she carried them in her purse to the dealer. When we go there, I turned around and she was gone! never heard of her again!

Yeah I love my factory 06 rims too. I was thinking of putting bigger sticker tires on it once the ****enza's are worn. I'm thinking 245/40 in the front and 255/40 in the back. Wonder how that would fit or if I could go larger.
