Well the Racer Factory event that was supposed to be at Buttonwillow is now canceled. They need 40 cars to enter to break even and with only 16 pre-registered, they werent confident that they were going to reach that number. Unfortunately this was the only track day that I had before the Redline Track Events Time Attack at Cal Speedway March 5th. That means I will only have March 4th at Cal Speedway to get all of my suspension tuning done and get used to the car before the Time Attack the next day. Not to mention I have never driven Cal Speedway before.
So now the first event that my car will be at will be the Performance Nissan Meet February 25th.

I do have a track model and the OEM wheels are for sale and/or trade. PM me with what you have to trade and we can possibly work something out.

Hey Mikey,
Car looks great! Congrats.
I look forward to seeing the car run on the track. If you want to hit Buttonwillow in February, Speedventures is hosting an event there on the 25th and 26th: http://speedventures.com/2-25-2006_event.asp They are a good group.
I might try to make it out to that event and give my new ride an initial shakedown. It's going to be tough though, because I'll be out of town for the next couple weeks. Also, I'll probably have to run stock wheels and tires, and may not even have a chance to get a good alignment on it. Regardless, I'm probably going to try and make one of those days. If I don't see you out there, I'll see you at the Perf. Nissan event for sure.
I had thought long and hard about doing something to my Z similar to what you did to yours..Instead, I just decided to sell the Z and buy a new platform to start with. If I make it out to BWillow, I'll be driving this...I'm picking it up in Texas next week and driving it back to LA. Also...sorry to hijack your post!!!

Hey Jeff! So much for the family car lol. Good choice though. I would run with Speedventures that weekend, but I will be at the Performance Nissan meet on the 25th. Oh and don't worry about hijacking the thread. This one is old news lol. I have started a seperate thread for part two.
Hahaha...hey Rick. I would hardly consider myself a 'domestic guy.' This is actually my first one, and really the only one I'm even remotely interested in. I was soooo close to buying a brand new Evo IX...oh so close. I just couldn't resist the Z06 though. I've wanted one for so long. I have a Subaru Legacy GT 2.5 Turbo wagon with a 5 speed as my dog/people hauler, so I had to have at least one impractical and fun car. One family car is plenty for any family!
The Z06 should be fun. It's completely stock and put down 364 whp when the owner had it dynoed...and ran a 12.3 1/4 mile on stock tires...should be interesting on the track.
Shoot...forgot the Performance meet was on the 25th...well, I'm going to that too. I hope I don't get kicked out with my Chevy!
Why don't we go to the Performance meet, then up to B-willow that night and do the track day on sunday the 26th? Now that sounds like a cool weekend.

Wow, nice setup! congradulations.
Can you elaborate on your oil cooler setup as far as brand and location. I noticed in post #52 the undercarriage pic shows the adapter and lines. Thanks for the info.
