Here's a crazy idea... He wanted a shift light to tell him when to shift in manual mode and it's hard to get shift light that is not attached to a tachometer because the two needs each other, I've yet to see a shift light kit that plugs and play into nissan's OEM tachometter. And it's not a cry for attention if that is the best place to put it to see the shift light.

Just my crazy thoughts.

More like shift before the rev limiter kicks in. I don't think he is worried aboiut blowing the moter so much as worried that the rev limiter will kick in.

You are crazy, cuz you can buy SEVERAL stand alone shift lights. And you can wire into the ecu for rpm signal for the shift light signal. So please dont defend this tasteless Fast & Furious mod, its junk....

btw I noticed you have a Lemans car is this yours?

Before I posted, I did a quick search on google and it just came back with ones that had tachometers, so I asummed there weren't many. I'm not defending the car. I'm just putting out why he would do it, If he is crazy enough to put NOS in his car, I doubt he cares what his car looks like as long as it goes fast.

And no, it isn't my car, I would never put a NOS setup in my car. That's a little too much for me.

You guys are awsome...thanks for all the entertainment....I'm glad others have found this amusing....oh, and as far as car bashing goes...we're just stating opinions here. If it were a thread about an interior we could respect (like buzzardmountain's) we wouldn't be telling people to stop "car lusting" would we?

Anyway, I just thought it'd be funny to this particular Z comunity.
