I have a '03 Z with 36000Kms. I got my crank position sensor replaced on monday, because the engine would cut out at 3500 rpms. the dealer replaced the sensor, and the engine cuts out at 4500 rpms now without setting off the service engine soon light. the dealer had a look today and cant find a problem. the computer isnt reading any problems. Has any one else came across this problem. The car is bone stock.

 

I am having the exact same problem. My car has been in the shop for over a week now and they can't seem to find the problem. I had my crank shaft position sensor changed twice and both times it turned on the CEL. This time it killed twice on me and didn't register any codes.

 

hcwlsu I might have some good news for u. I got my car back from the dealer today. they fixed my problem. they said the sensor was not secured properly, which would cause it to flap around, causing it to cut the motor out. good luck
