Default Finnaly, a Shifter, Clutch Fix..........

Ive been complaing about my clutch and shifter for months now, and then it started grinding at about 3400 miles. Well now after months, of going to different dealers etc.. Im getting a new "clovis", and transmission.

Do you guys think i should ask for an extended warantee or somthing because of the trouble ive gone through?? Or maybe because i had unneccisary wear on my car, that wouldnt have happened otherwise.

So should i just be happy theyre fixing it, or ask for some extras, and if so, what exactly do you think i should ask for, or whats fair???? Thanks all............... Nissan service stinks, but finnaly theyre doing somthing..........

Josh,

I don't know for sure, but I would think that whatever wear may have been caused by the pin and tranny, will be fixed in the swap.

That said, I always wondered if they shouldn't be replacing the clutch/flywheel. Is it possible that they would have worn oddly due to the clovis (or is clevis?) pin?

Glad to hear that they are taking care of you now.
