sorry guys.. but i sold my 03 Z.. costin me way to much money for payments and mods.. im aimin for a used car this time.. lookin for supra TT or RX-7 or 240sx..im stayin with FR so i can keep practicin drifting.. im def goin turbo this time.. all my boys have turbo im the only N/A.. it was fun bein with my Z but imma have to let her go.. car should be gone in a week or so.. imma be playin around a bit more before shes gone.. GOOD LUCK WITH ALL YOU Z HEADS ! when a new Z comes out with better stuff ill think about buyin another 1.. still love the car.. best choice of car.. but i owe to much money and mods are killin me and i wanna go turbo but it cost to much.. but till then DRIFT ON !

Great idea, seeing how a Supra tt with 120k miles costs as much as a slightly used 03 350z.

 

+1, I was originally looking to buy a TT Supra but the Z was more affordable.

 

no to mention how much money you will lose by selling the Z... not tryin to discourage your decision but if money is an issue, selling/trading in you Z will cost more in the long run. And what makes a supra or rx7 more affordable to mod? However cheaper it is (dont know if its even cheaper if you factor in the cost of maintaining those cars), the money you save on the cheaper mods will pay for the money you lost selling the Z... my .02

 

also hees just wanting to sell his Z because all his Boyz have turbos and hees getting **** for it... ?heh

Your reason for selling makes NO sense considering what you plan on buying. A TT`d Supra or an rx-7 will end up costing you far more than a 350z when it`s all said and done.

 

 

They do? Thats news to me.. Supra + a BPU is pretty cheap and you get some really nice gains. To get similiar gains on a Z, you'd need FI..

 

Good luck with your next car. If I ever sell my Z (I'm planning on paying it off and keeping it as my DD and then buying another used car) I'd get an R32 Skyline or an S15 and mod the **** out of it. Less than 4 more years worth of payments, haha.

found couple of supra's cost way to much.. found a couple of rx7 for under 15G's.. but my boys are tellin me not to get it.. if anything imma go for a 240sx and go SR20.. 240sx are so cheap to hook upp ! imma make it faster then my Z one day.. dnx guys for the support ! i will miss my Z and this forum.. ill still be checkin up on this forum just incase i want a another Z in couple of years.. but when i get my SR20 ill post pics even tho its not a Z.. its still a nissan ! hahaha.. till then DRIFT ON !

 

so your selling your car, without really knowing what car you want to buy nor how much it costs? What are you going to do when the S14 is in the shop for a couple weeks for the engine swap?

240s are not cheap to "hook up". The SR20 swap will cost you near $6K to do it right with new mounts, harness, and all. That gets you near 230hp. Nothing. To get it to near 400rwhp, it will cost near $12K. That is what it costs on a 350Z as well. Only diff is you are modding a 10 year old car now instead of a 3 year old car. I don't think you thought this out too well. If you want cheap speed, get anything with an LS1 in it (Vette, Firebird, Camaro) and mod that. You can get a Z28 for near 10K and put $5K in it and be very happy.

 

Supra mods don't cost much for basic performance upgrades. For less than 2K you can get around 400-420rwhp(Exhaust, DP, Boost Conroller, Intake).

It's a Toyota, so it's pretty reliable. The maintenance/replacement of parts is where things can start to add up seeing it is a 10 yr old car. If you go single and ditch the stock twins, it can get pricey. The key is to find a good conditioned, relatively low mileage one and once you do there are usually many other people that want it, which drives the price up. Worth every penny though.
