Yes, but you can improve the ride with tires, springs, & sway bars.

You don't. There is a button above the license plate in the bumper. There is an emergency safety pull under the strut bar which is very difficult to use. The key fob button will not work with the keys in the ignition.

new shocks won't make your ride less rough. The springs are what determine how stiff the ride is. I did notice a ride "harshness" improvement with my Nismo S-tune suspension. But the ride didn't get any softer.

The button for the rear hatch is right above the license plate. It's a black rubber square.

I know for sure an 03 Track is stiffer and rougher than an 04 ZR.

Over the 4 production years, I think there are three, may be more, versions of suspension. The 03 being the stiffest. The 04/05 has an "Euro" suspension, which has a better ride. The 06 has yet a different one. Can someone confirm this?

You, uh, test drove the car before you bought it, didn't you? If you thought the Z rode too rough (it doesn't compared to other similar models) then why did you buy it? What were you driving previously? If you stepped out of some long wheel-based luxury sedan, then yes, the Z ride will feel a lot firmer to you, but "rough" it is not.

Your questions concerning the hatch leads me to believe that you haven't bothered to read the owners manual. Take some time to get familiar with the Z's functions and features, you'll enjoy the car a whole lot more.

I really don't think they are different at all. If you was a soft ride....go buy a different car. You're not going to get it with the Z no matter what suspension you go with.

It's supposed to feel like that. Pop some Tanabe GF 210's on there and lower it another inch, inch and a half and ride in it. Talk about making the CD player skip a lot. I wouldn't have it any other way though, .
