Well it kinda sucked!! I got in the car went to a movie left the theater and it started to rain. I exited the parking lot of the theater and made a left turn to the next street, My car SPUN!!!! out of control and i jump the curb . At that moment i thought the cars front bumper was torn off. Got out the car checked it and left . It was scary as hell. I wasnt even speeding.

Mine was at the dealership test drive. I wasnt used to the tranny, so i drove it like a grandpa. But when i left the dealership i got on teh highway and tested its power wow! i had a grin from ear to ear. But then i also soon realized how much different the suspension was from my everyday cavalier! LOL...ill always love my Z

My first time I didn't really know how to drive standard. I went a half mile up the road, stalled, and it wouldn't start back up they had to call a tow truck . . .

I was picking up the car at the dock (had it shipped from Long Beach, CA to Honolulu, HI), and didn't know that I was supposed to depress the clutch when starting the engine. I was embarassed, because the shipping company employees were standing there admiring my car, and seeing my inability to drive a manual trans.

I test drove the car at the dealership and didn't go more than 35mph... I took a corner really fast as I didn't realize how much power there was...

Dealer took me to a winding road under a bridge/overpass and I was amazed at the cornering stability....

My only complaint was the poor visibility from all angles... it doesn't bother me now, but it did back then.

Did I mention I drove the car home that day?

I worked at Universal City Nissan when the Zs first came out.
didnt really like it at first. but seeing it everyday it really grow on me!!!
Each day before work i would sit in the car for about 10 min. Imagining driving it home.

After about a Month later I sold over 10 Z then i finally realized i had to get it~
One night almost done with work. i asked my boss "hey how much payment do you think i would be in?"
next thing you know i am pulling my own credit. got approved and signed.. LOL
then while i was in singing i called up my buddies they all came down to UCN and we went on for a Cruz~ and all rolled up to a local Club~ and showed off my Z at the valet!!! it was the BOMB feeling.
and that time no one really had a Z and i over heard people saying damn hey look that a Z!!!
course i had Lemans sunset to stand out in a crowd like a sorth thumb
Fun memories.. thank you for bringing back up~

Within the first 1/2 hour of picking up my new Z I rashed the driver's side front wheel on a curb at my business .....ordered the Nismo wheels the next week. (No curb rashes on Nismos after 2 years of use).

Ah back in the spring of 2003, i'll never forget that ride... Pulled up to the dealership in my modded g20t the dealer handed me a set of keys and said to go down the block, onto the highway and take the first exit back. I eased it out of the dealership and drove it down toward the highway. As soon as i hit the on ramp.... WOW.... hit 100 with such ease... i was so impressed, the power and sound.... words couldnt describe it back then....

Default I gave it to Veronica.

I do not count idling it out of the prep area to the parking lot.. She had 8 miles on her. The salesman had already bugged the crap out of me.. I was at the dealership for well over 2 hours... First time driving a MT car in over 8 years.. I eased out on to the 4 lane street to a red light. Absolutely did not want to stall this hot *** car...my baby.. this '06 Lemans Sunset Enthusiast that I waited for for over 3 months..

See cross-traffic light turn yellow.. Rev. See it turn red.. REV! See my light turn green! REV!! SQUAWK! 1st.. VRrroooOOM! SQUAK!! 2nd!! ROWWWR!!!! SQUAK!!!! 3rd!!! ROWWWWRRRRRR! Ok..ok.. settle down.. time to take it easy.. remember reading about break in... slow down and cruise at 50mph. in 6th.. ooooh baby.. I love you.

I will always remember tearing my bi**h up the first time I drove her. Veronica takes it.. she takes it any way I give it to her.

Wow what a moment. I remember I drove down an hour with my father to the dealer to pick it up from the owner, he had just had the alignment done on the car. My father seens pics, and didn't like it much, until he seen it in person. I gave the check over to the old owner, and handed me the keys. I drove off, with the hugest smile on my face, and I couldn't wipe it off for weeks. People would stare at the car and my smile. What a moment .

I went to a GM Autoshow in Motion in August 2004. The point of those things is to test GM cars against other cars in the same category. I don't even remember what car they were comparing it to in the GM line up but the line to drive the Z was an hour long(and the lines for the GM cars were embarassingly short). My bro in law and I got in, drove it for the 45 secs or so the short track was set up for(don't think we even got out of 2nd gear..and this was actually an auto Le Mans Sunset track edition) but we both got out of the car like "Dayamm...I have to have this car" A year later, after pointing every Z I saw out to my wife she said "Le's go look at one" We did, and on the test drive SHE was like "Dayam..we have to have this car!"(I've been with her almost 20 years and love her for many reasons but that was one of those "Man, I totally married the right girl" moments) Drove home our PPW Z a week later.

On the test drive, I didn't push it too hard except for once when the sales guy told me to get on it.

When I picked up the car I bought, it was a long first drive... I flew down to Miami to get it and drove it all the way back to northern NJ. Heh.

My first was the test drive. The salesman was cool so I drove more aggressively than usual and got on it several times and even took some twisties. I was physically shaking when I pulled back into the dealer.

I went home with the car.

The day that i test drove it, i took my father with me for a second opinion. I had shown him pictures of it and he didnt like it much. But once we got in for the test drive and i pulled out of the dealership sideways, he was grinning harder than i was. Seeing a look on his face that i have never seen in the last 3 cars i have had was enough for me. i bought it 2 days later!!
