Default Took for removing (plastic clips on) front bumper?

Which tool should i use to remove the plastic clips that have to be removed before the front bumper can come off? I'm referring to the ones that meet the edge of the hood. Someone suggested using a flat-head screwdriver, but a friend and i tried and found it near-impossible.

I had the same problem, until I figured it out. You use the screwdriver to pop up the center of the clip then you pry up the base of the clip and they come right out.

Default pop-up clips

The secret to the pop-up clips at the edge of the hood and everywhere else you find them on the car is to only pull up the center portion about half of its length. If you pull the center portion all the way out and then tug on it the bottom of the center portion expands and it is nearly impossible to get out. The same is true if you do not pull the center portion out enough. It will grip the outside portion and be hard to remove. With the center portion pulled out about half-way you should be able to slip a fingernail under the edge of the outside portion and half it pop right out into your hand with very little effort. Experiment a little with the center portion pulled out to different lengths and you will see what I mean. You only need a tiny flat blade screwdriver to barley lift the center portion. The rest is finger tip easy.

As others have said, the trick is to lift up the center portion using a samll screwdriver, then the rest will pop out easily.-
