Is 350z the best selling sport cars in US?

^Like I said, a matter of perception.
Some would say its a 2-door, 2-seat vehicle with a front/mid/rear engine and RWD. Maybe you can include AWD. Or you could say 2-door, but 2+2 seating works too.
I don't believe there is a concrete definition of what a sports car is. You could go up to 5 totally random people on the street and get up to five different responses on what a sports car actually is.

It is possible that the Z could outsell the Mustang in worldwide numbers given the fact that the mustang sells 160k cars domestically, but nobody outside of the US would buy the hulking lug... Where as the Z could sell 30k in the US alone but close to 160k worldwide.

I do hear that alot from different magazines and automotive documentaries...
"The Z emblem is the most popular sports car in the world" *blah* *blah* *blah*
It's rare someone refers to the Mustang as a sportscar. It's always "muscle car" or sports coupe.
