Ok so it has the following mods, Exhaust, Wheels, Floormats, and Stickers. Now im not knocking the base since I own one and love it but uhm, yeah its a base model Z and they want that much for it? Nismo performance model? Sad thing is someone might actually buy it for what they are asking.

There's a cliche that goes something like this.

Q: When is a auction not a auction? A: When its a eBay auction.

Dealers often list cars on eBay with no intention of selling them. They get national advertising for the listing fee. It brings potential buyers to the dealer for a look-see. Also keep in mind that the seller now has contact information about each bidder, and can follow-up with a sale off-eBay.

What's even funnier is that they are advertising it with Cruise Control and TCS . At least they got the engine pics right now. I saw this on ebay yesterday and they showed pics of the engine that was dirty and nasty, somone screwed up. lol

Not a lot of people know about Z like us. For example, if i go to a Cadillac dealer and see a "modified" escalate that i really like, i might just buy it because i don't want the hassle of shop for part and install it. Yes, the folk at "Escalate forum" will call it crazy deal but i really don't know about it.

I'm sure alot of people would buy it... not everyone is a Z nut and knows the ins and outs of the different models. Besides, with it already modified, the consumer wouldn't have to go through the whole hassle of buying and installing again. They just take the key, drive off... People buy the most stupid stuff... I'm sure you have bought something that others have thought.. "man, this guy is a complete moron..."

It's true folks,

I bought my Z with a bunch of Nismo stuff on it cause I really didn't want to wait. I had the cash and probably paied a little for the convienence.

basicly I got a base with...

1. Nismo S tune suspension
2. Nismo Catback exaust
3. Nismo 19" rims
4. Nismo titanum shift ****
5. Nismo oil cap
6. Nismo Radiator cap
7. Bridgestone tires
8. Kenwood Exelon DDX8017

I drove it off (more like tore out of) the lot for a grand total of 37K (that includes tax and licence)

and before you slam me for paying interest on after market parts...well, i bought the car cash.

Again, i just found it easyer....I know there are better parts out there, but I trust and enjoy the Nismo brand.

just my 2cents

Well there is nothing wrong with what you did in my opinion, you had a lot of stuff put on and the price reflects that, like you said you paid cash so really not bad at all. The problem that I have with the Z up top is the fact that this dealer has no clue about the car what it has and what it doesnt have. I understand a mark up for pre installed aftermarket parts, but the BIN price for what mods it has is crazy.

I think the prices paid for new Z greatly varies in the area/region that they are purchased at. I am seeing a lot of people on here talk about getting their Z for cheaper than I got my base for OTD. Here in Tucson the wether is fantastic 98% out of the year and I tried doing the whole not being interested thing and all that but they could have cared less they know these Z's are going to sell. Then again I got my 06 back in 05 so you pay a little more when its that new as well.

eBay is no longer a place to get a good deal when buying a car. It has become too mainstream and in my opinion cars are more expensive on eBay now than most other places.

Guess it does depend on the region because I got my 06 GT for $300 under invoice in Oct. of 05.

Why on earth is the interior so damn oily??? Is laying a fat coat of Armorall and making the plastic look shinny considered hot? They've made the plastic look even cheaper now. And what the hell is that stain on the driver's seat? I guess the Z is too much for some to handle
