When are we going to get one of these eighty-eleven magazines
to do a feature article on our "Z" where it has been tested with
some new damn photo's? Or have I missed one? I would think
Nissan has made a few production models for Road and Track or
Car and Driver to test, but then again I just went to the Atlanta
Car Show two weeks ago and I could not even get the girl to
open the back deck window because it was some loaner from
Japan. I'M TIRED OF WAITING! Ok, I feel better now, thx.....

You haven't missed it yet. I think it's in next months Motor Trend....

 

it was supposed to be cover car for either june or july for motor trend.

and since june's cover car is the new viper, i guess the z will take the july cover.

 

I hope it's not August We will have our Z's by then. I guess
since they start production next month and however long it
takes to build one and then have it shipped over here from
Japan, maybe by the end of June we will have legit numbers
from one of the magazines on our production Z's My dealer
gave me a damn 90 day window from August to October and
the dealer could only order 17 for this year. I was the third
one in the door many moons ago, so I'm praying it's August...

actually, the august issue would come out in july. magazines usually come out a month earlier...like the june motor trend issue came out at the beginning of may. it's wierd like that.

 

I feel like Nissan is a big *** dealer and they have all strung out
on Crack or "Z"............i need another hit damn it!

Seems to me from all the stuff I've seen floating around that various publications will be able to do a little testing before July, but everyone's gotta keep their mouth shut until the 3rd. I'm envisioning a Nissan press release on or before that date with manufacture ratings like 0-60, and power output. Regardless of when the magazine comes out, we'll all know nearly everything by the 4th I'm thinking.

I am not sure if you have all seen the photo of the car in "Super Street" May 2002on page 206.... Forgive me if this is old news...

 

SportZ Magazine's editor posted on another forum and said they had to sign a form saying they wouldnt publish any information until July 2nd. He also said that the issue of (Motor Trend I think) that COMES OUT July 5th would be the first printed article with the final Z info - so that would be the August issue.

Bottom line, I dont think we can expect anything other than leaked info until July 2.

 

I can't believe they picked the new viper over the 350Z, what were they thinking at Moter Trend?

 

Horsepower+13 inch wide rear tires = fun and great photo ops

 

Viper on the front cover? that means our Z will be in the July edition?

Also, I heard that it takes 17days for the ship to go from Japan to US port. I read this on zcar.com

If they make the car around early June, then some people may actually get the car around late July. I know mine is coming in August..first shipment.

Umm... I thought Burnt Orange wasn't available in Chrome Silver, I think you mean Silverstone.

well if you look at all the show cars from the auto shows and stuff the exterior color is OBVIOUSLY not silverstone...it's more like chrome, and all those show cars have burnt orange inside. it's some confusing thing i stumbled upon at zcar.com a couple months ago...some guy over there said that it was probably just a custom made showcar.

 

You can't get the color combo in the brochure which was an oversite on their part in my opinion. You will see on their web site when order the chrome silver, the burnt orange leather is not an option, so why the H..... is that all we see? It's also frustrating to be forced to pick a color which you have never been able to see in person. What cho gonna do?
