350z vs Base Vette C6
The new vette and the Z are by far my favorite cars right now. I cannot decide which to get. Obviously the Vette is much faster and more expensive. Anybody have extensive experience w/ both. Pros/Cons.
You need to be checking in with "The Lounge" i.e. "other car" threads. Check out this link regarding Z and 'vette:

It's all about cash man...I had a 03 ZO6 and it was cool, but if the Z you are thinking about get supercharged/turbo added on then I really think the Z is way more fun to drive. Vette's are cool but are hard to turn, break down often and just have more problems. But if you were comparing a stock vette to a Z there is no question to performance. But the Z lowered with fat wheels and turbo is one sweet a** car that just about everyone loves. And you won't get the little p*nis thing people say when you drive a vette. Plus mostly old men drive vette's anyways so you'll look cooler in the boosted Z

GM = bleh
The LSx motors are pretty damn strong and reliable. My bro has a C5 and its a fun car but the interior=
His seat has broken for the 2nd time, and he only weighs 160lbs... The glass roof cracked along the edges from the car twisting when going up a steep driveway at an angle. (His car is lowered and he has to go into driveways at angles) The interior consist of standard off the shelf GM parts that love to rattle. That being said, it is fast.
The C6 is better in some ways, but bad in others. GM packed it with even more "Gadgets". (aka more stuff to add to the price, none of which really adds to your driving enjoyment. But it is one hell of a performer with a better interior than the previous gens...

Test drive them both, this is the only way you will determine which one is best for you, actually the newer Vettes get about the same fuel mileage as a Z, the truth is you'll enjoy either one.
I got my @$$ handed to me by a C6. He didn't even have license plates yet. It was a stupid street race, but we were both cool enough not to push over 4th gear. The C6 is a great car. So is the Z. It's all preference. I dunno if I would like the interior of a C6. Can't say that I've ever gotten into one, but from looking at pictures, I don't think I would like it as much as the Z. Interior matters to me because that's what I see all the time.

No comparison. I drive both regularly. If you have the extra $20K on top of the price of a Z, then go for the Vette. The Z is a great car for "its class". The Vette is also a great car for "its class". They are not in the same class. I think the Z is more livable for daily use but if power is a big concern then go for the Vette.

I like the Z b/c I don't need 400hp, its a great deal, I don't need the other vette luxury items such as leather etc, I would rather have a fixed roof, and probably most importantly for me is that I really like the feel of shifting in the Z relative to the vette.

LOL if you think the Z has blind spots you don't know how to set your mirrors correctly.
(Not sure about the roadster, but the coupe is one of the best visibility cars ever, the mirrors are very well designed).
I don't understand why people create threads like this or ask questions like this. It is your life, money and choice so get the car you want...
I would gladly drive a C6 but my budget just won't allow it at this point in my life so I drive a Z. But at the same time I am very happy with the Z and think it is a great car for the money that i spent on it. it may not be the fastest thing with 4 wheels but it's fast enough for me and very comfortable to drive. Not to mention it gets great gas milage and looks awesome...
