Default Climate Control

I'm just trying to figure out how the climate control on the Z works based from the interior pics.

On my 2k2 Maxima, I can run the ACC in "Econ" mode or "Auto" mode .

"Auto" is full auto and will control the fan and the A/C (to pull the humidity out of the car)

The "Econ" mode allows the ACC to run automatically (i.e.: control the fan settings) but won't allow the air conditioner to kick in. This is preferable to me since the humidity level in the car is usually not high enough to warrant running the A/C.

Does the Z have similar settings?

the answer to your question is no, the Z has no econ setting but it does have auto setting. AC is always on if you are circulating air with in the car. you can manually turn off AC if it's venting. the three **** are vent control, temp control and fan control.
i usually set the vents and fan on auto, and the temp around 70-75.

personally i like the climate control on the Z, it works just fine.

I usually do exactly the same thing and it works great. Went for a ride Sunday afternoon and noticed that it got a little warm with the sun baking in the front glass (I had a dark sweatshirt on). I just cranked the temp setting down 3-4 degrees and it cooled down

Default If you refer to the Manual

it explains that there are actually two auto settings to select to maintain a constant cabin temp. and comfort level. I use this setting all the time........it works fine for me.
