After owning my "Z" for 4 months and putting 5002 miles on it, I just noticed that there is no darker tinting at the top 6" of the windshield. Every car I've owned in the past 20 years had had the darker tinting.. With the sun very low in the sky, it would come in handy now.. Does anyone make an aftermarket tinting that can be applied inside the windshield?? maybe saying "Nissan 350Z" on it?? I know I would buy one in a flash.. Anyone one out there know how to do this?? Here's your chance to make some money...

errrr, mine doesnt say nissan 350Z, Ill leave that to civics that want to be sure your aware of what their driving since they removed all their emblems.

but any tint shop can do a 6" "Visor strip" I got it done in 5%, which is illegal, but they can do legal percentages. I didnt plan on getting the strip, but with the absence of the factory tint, I wanted it. it cost 20$ for me, but this was on a full car tint, so that might have made it a little less expensive.

oh and of course, all tint goes on the inside.

 

I also had a 5% strip added (legal in Colo.), and the biggest benefit is that it makes my 8500 almost disappear. The downside is for taller drivers who may think they're wearing psychedelic bi-focals.
