Default my nissan stealership story...

i have a 03 chrome alloy 350z with about 27k miles right now. this is my warrenty work i had done on my z. front tires were replaced once warrenty around 12k.

About 2 months ago i had the trans replaced because of 3rd gear grind, window greace kits, they replced my gas filler lid because it was not fitting flush. anyhow my rear tires were pretty bald and feathering insides. i replaced them with pirelli p6000's not by the dealer.

I bring the car back 2 days ago because they forgot the bolt and backing plate for the pasenger door handle, my new rear tires are starting to feather as well and when opening the doors the windows go up and down differently on both sides since they installed the grease kits.

They did the fuel filler hose recall, and ignored my window complaint. They also said i needed new front tires again but I am passed the oct-05 recall so they cant do anything about those. the service writer said that tires on this car should only last a max of 20k miles which i think is bs. also they wont do anything about the rears because i did not have them replaced by the dealer. So right now I am waiting on backing plate part to come in now.

But should i just take the tire problem for what it is and just deal with it, but overall i am just sick of random people driving my car around and getting it all greased up and scratched up for carelessness, wish they would just pay me to do the work. i hate stealerships. a necessary evil i suppose.

I would call Nissan Consumer Affairs. (1-800-NISSAN-1). They absolutely inept and anwering any kind of technical question or in depth question, but they are good at gettin on dealership's a$$es.

The only time I've had success with Nissan Consumer Affairs was when one of my local stealerships tried to screw me over, trying to charge me for warranty work. Here is another tip, not all the Consumer Affairs people feel like working, so if you are getting a bad vibe from the affairs specialist assigned to you hang up and try again. If you get the same person again, just tell them that you are on a cell phone and that the call dropped.

Best of luck,

15k-20k miles is about right for low profile tires... Lot of it depends on how hard you drive your car tho.

Remember these are not 70 series tires that get 50k-60k miles...
