Stock for Stock, assuming same level drivers, M3 will beat the Z car easily. The longer the race goes, the more it will get destroyed. M3 traps 106-109, Z traps 99-102. I love my Z too, but got give respect where its due and all this out of 3.2L.
Personally I wouldn't pay 25K+ more for a .7 second faster car....
Why did you buy the Z than if all that matters to you is speed? Coulda got an old 5.0 stang or GSX and whooped a z for far less money. Or if you had to have a new car, you could of got an SRT-4 and then say "Personally I wouldn't pay 5-12k more for no acceleration difference".
The M3 beats the Z in all performance areas, as well as a MUCH better interior.
M3 has been beaten on track by 350Z (professional drivers and course). I hope I didnt disappoint you.
Why would you disappoint me? haha... I hope that youre not that it didnt...
Yeah, the M3 has been beat on the track..and it has beaten many cars as well...same with the 350Z...(professional drivers and course)..but out of the box, the M3 has the advantage.....as for mildly tuned, the tides can change quickly...and this is from personal experience of owning both cars and having track time with both of them..
It's pretty easy to pick on non-modded M3's when you're boosted. How about you step it up and race the supercharged M3's?
The M3 is a superior car to the 350Z in everyway, except maybe exterior aesthetics.
Supercharged m3's are slow, even with final drive gears. A built and boosted s54 will put out 500whp or so. Not so fantastic for a 3.2L iron block inline-6 that revs to 8000 rpm's. (oversquare also). By comparison, an RB26 with less displacement makes way more power on boost.
And the M3 is superior in every way to the 350z? Well, the 350z is available with a nice brembo 4/2 piston setup from the skyline gt-r.. the M3 comes with 1 piston sliding calipers, even the CSL.
M3 has struts in the front... 350z has a better suspension geometry. probably has a stiffer chassis as well.
The m3 should be better in most every way, it costs about double. It is like saying an F430 is better then a 911 in every way... (well no sh**, it costs twice as much)
