Looking to buy a new 350z... help
I'm looking to buy a new 350z. Debating between base, enthusiast, and touring. I am leaning towards base because i don't really want all those parts that come on the other models. I will keep the question to a minimum, but if you guys can answer these questions it will help me decide on what I want.
Here are a couple questions i have:
1. How much did you pay for your Z (price after all taxes and fees)?
2. What model and year is your Z?
3. Where did you buy it from (I'm located in Southern California, so if you bought your Z somewhere in Socal, it would help me greatly)?
4. Any Regrets?
If you are from Orange County / Los Angeles County, I been to Tustin Nissan, Douglas Nissan in Orange, and Power Nissan in El Monte. Douglas Nissan told me the car will be about 29k. Anybody get a better deal (A good deal doesn't mean you paid less. If you got a lot of freebies then that is still a good deal)

Do the edmunds.com thing and get fleet managers names, try to get them to send you an internet price. From there you can visit different dealerships and bargain accordingly. Never deal with a walk in salesman, they are crap and don't know sxxx. I once walked into a dealership and the salesman said i love our cars with VDC, vehicle destruction control, i almost started laughing in his face. Anyways, get the car with the features you want, not what someone suggests to you. If you're going to track and don't want all the electronics, get the base. It also doesn't have an VLSD but the nismo LSD comes with all you need anyways. But other than that you will save a ton if you don't need leather, nav, bose system and are going to change rims anyways. I'm not sure, but does the 2006 models all have the new 300hp engine. You might want to check on what models have that if you want that new engine instead of the older 287hp engines. By the way, i pre-ordered my touring fully loaded back in aug. 2002 and at that time all cars were MSRP, no dealing so it was more than i wanted to pay from DTLA Motors Nissan.
I was recently looking in orange county as well...
first off all new 06 do come with teh 300hp engine...
if you want a base, Connell Nissan in Costa Mesa has great deals on them...go to the web-site and look at their e-pricing...they have a SS with Aero package 6MT for about 27K Good luck!

I dunno if this will help, but here's what I got:
2003 Track w/ 6k miles (and Enkei rims/tires) for $26k OTD (no sales tax in OR). That was back in 2004 just before the 05 models came out. So at the time, it was a great deal and was a good $4-6k under bluebook value.
I would seriously consider finding an 05 w/ low mileage....you'll save several grand and can get more features than a Base 06.
Oh, and I have ZERO regrets. Absolutely love the car.
