Default variable inlet manifolds

I have seen no mention of variable inlet manifolds (which is standard on the other vq35 engines) has this been deleted on the 350z ? Also the curb weights given seam to be higher than the japanese 350z ,I wonder if extra structures have had to be added to the american 350z to enable it too pass (more ridged) crash standards in the us. ZISME can you help here please. also 1 last questi0n can you confirm that the pre production cars that everyone has now tested has infact got the full production spec motors ie 287hp
