bling bling!
I just got my copy and I think it's better than the HyperREV as far as tuner car photos and event coverage goes.
http://www.hyperrevusa.com/
What's funny is that it is a Japanese magazine with the english title "Z Magazine". Also, there are lots of english words on the cover, ads, and even the articles. Who the hell are they targetting?
This company must be banking on all the kids who will buy the magazine after watching fast and furious 3. It's a good marketting strategy.

Sweet! I like looking at pictures especially since it comes with a FREE JDM sticker! lol...

Wish they had it in English though so I can actually read the articles
. Oh well, Engrish will have to do

I guess I'm used to reading manga and I see more english on this cover then I see on manga covers.
As for the adult comment, I'm sure kids not old enough to drive will go see fast and furious, so I suspect teenagers will also buy this "adult" magazine. And btw, an adult is age 18 here in my country. Don't know what the "adult" age is for the Japanese. but 18 is still pretty young tuner in my eyes. So I still stick to my comment.

You obviously haven't been to Japan before....after WWII an dthe U.S. occupation, English words made their way into all kinds of advertising and into the language itself. It's not about targeting as much as it's just expected. As far as your FF3 marketing strategy theory, it is quite the opposite. The cover actually says "Z Machine for Adults."

That is cool! "type Z33 only"!
Our Z designated: SportsZ magazine is nice but I wish we had something like this in the states as well.
More of a catalogue, photography coffee-table type book and less of a periodical. Kinda like those Tuningwerks magazines.

You read Japanese manga but you can't read Japanese?
Your comment is just really out there.....there is no connection with this magazine and FF3 other than the fact a few of the cars in FF3 are Z's.
BTW, 20 is pretty much considered the coming of age in Japan....although even this would be considered young...
I never said I read japanese manga, I just see a lot of japanese covers as one of my hobbies.
But to get back on what I mean about this Z magazine having a lot more english then most japanese covers, here are some examples:

That's all I wanted to point out. That this magazine has more english then the usual Japanese covers that I see. So I brought that to attention.

The average Japanese tuner do seem a little more mature, or pushing more towards middle-age, than the average American tuner-enthusiast.
I guess factory exotics and super cars are rare and hard to obtain in Japan? So it's more common for guys to pick up a moderate car and build it.
