Talking Glad I didn't pull the trigger...

...on another car! I have been planning on getting a new ride for the last few months. I was considering the MustangGT and the RX8. Drove the RX8 but I dont wanna deal with all the problems and issues with rotaries. Didn't drive the GT but drove the manual v6 version - enough said on that.

I think I have found my car in the Z. I will be driving it on Saturday at the dealer and think I will go for a 6MT 2006. Don't think I'll be looking back after that!

Mustang, some people like old technology..... RX-8, the only issue the renesis has is that it's pulling around 500lb to much. It should be in the MX-5.... The 350z, Technology, styling, and smooth power delivery. It was a great combination for me. I'm sure many will agree.

should've driven the Stang GT. i test drove one coupla months back. it's not bad actually. it's pretty fast too. for some reason, it doesn't feel as fast as the Z. good choice on choosing the Z. hopefully you don't regret it.

you missed out if you didn't drive the v8 mustang. it's not as nimble and is heavier than the z but it's also easier (and more enjoyable IMO) to drive and has a better exhaust note. it's just a plain fun car to drive.

Well...I haven't made my decision yet b/c I haven't driven the V8. I will definetly give it a spin before deciding. Thanks for the heads up.

I'll test drive the Z and GT this weekend and decide. It's been a tough decision so far!

yea.. the GT is not that bad actually.. i like it a lot more than the previous gen definitely. the tires love to chirp on that car. i think the Z's better all around but just voicing that GT isn't a bad choice either

The mustang GT will feel pretty torquey, but it doesn't have that great of handling. It's big too. You need to lower it and put wheels on it instantly and you need either 18s with fat 255f and 285r tires or 20 wheels to look right. The z is the perfect balance of speed and handling and good looks.

It's actually pretty cool to see that nobody is bad-mouthing the GT b/c it is not a Z (since this is a Z board after all). It's definelty down to the Z vs the GT...

Too many Mustangs on the road. You'll see yourself coming and going.

Ken, that was one of the cons agains the GT..too many damn Stangs on the road, even though 8 out of 10 are the V6's. I have def seen less Z's on the road. That was actually one of the pros for the RX-8 but I have pretty much decided against the 8 right now.

So, I will search for FF3...but what is that the future Z??

I also considered an RX-8, but was concerned about the engine. There are a few issues like difficulty starting, very poor gas mileage, high oil consumption and the fact that very few mechanics can work on it. I like the car itself, but think the styling of the Z is much better.

I'm very satisfied with the Z so far. It's 6 weeks old, has over 4,000 miles on it and no problems.

i had 3 car choices in mind when i purchased the Z....the 330i, rsx-typeS and of course the Z. Test drive a Z alone will win over your decision. You have made the right decision my young apprentice.
