I just saw a commercial for the Chappelle Show on Comedy Central, wherein Dave Chapelle is driving a silver 350Z. The man has taste =)

 

I've also seen the commercial about 6 times already, however, its an AUTOMATIC, no love for dave.

 

Yeah, I saw the show. But the car is being used in a parody of the Eclipse commercial. I wonder, whydidn't they use an Eclipse? I'm guessing that maybe it's because they didn't want to be hassled by Mitsubishi.

He's not driving it now unless he took it to South Africa with him for his looney tunes therapy. I wonder if he has actually returned, if the whole story was made up or of he really is whacked out of his mind.

He actually lives about 25 miles from me. He is back in the states now, and was seen at some comedy clubs in LA as recently as last week. A friend of mine is a cop in Beavercreek, a suburb of Dayton, and actually pulled him over for doing 85 in a 55. My friend did write him a ticket, but at a reduced speed.

When he stayed @ my hotel he came in his tour bus and that was towing his FX45. He was cool as hell!

kpiskin - I dunno about him being crazy. Why go to South Africa for treatment?! Maybe all the pot he smoked messed up his brain.

Sensation350Z - I think they used something other than an Eclipse and referred to it as an Ellipse to avoid any potential legalities. ZU_L8r says he drives an FX45 so maybe Chappelle's got a soft spot for Nissan/Infiniti and chose to use a Z.

jcpeyton - Dave Chappelle. A comedian/actor. Thin black guy who in my opinion is funny as hel_! You've probably seen him on TV at one time or another. He has his own Skit show "The Chappelle" show which is on hold right now as he seeks "therapy" for some unknown "ailment" but some feel it's all a publicity gimmick.

 

Thanks, Paul. The last "thin black guy" who I thought was funny as hell was Richard Pryor. Obviously showing my age and lack of knowledge of current TV personalities.

 

His face was hilarious, it was totally saying, "hell yeeeeeah" *****!@!@!!!
